PWR (Powdered Water Repellent) is a powdered dry additive that, when mixed with mortar or concrete, makes concrete repairs and tuck pointing permanently waterproof. This means that masonry repairs and waterproofing can be accomplished in one day, eliminating the need to return to the job later. TIPS: Mix 1 oz of PWR with one shovel of sand, mortar, or cement. Make sure to only mix what you intend to use immediately. Apply the ChimneySaver once the mortar is thumb print dry. One lb of PWR will treat 480 mixes.

CrownSeal is a trowelable grade, elastomeric, that forms a flexible waterproof membrane to protect and waterproof chimney crowns. As a trowelable product, CrownSeal is ideally suited for applications where moderate deterioration has occurred, yet severe deterioration, that would require rebuilding of the crown, is not yet present. HOW TO: 1. Duct tape off the upper and lower breakpoints of repair & dampen the surface. 2. Trowel CrownSeal & lightly mist the surface of the CrownSeal with water. 3. Smooth the surface with a damp brush. 4. Remove the duct tape.

TIPS: CrownSeal has a coverage rate of 20 sq. ft./gal. and can be applied at a thickness of 1/8” to 1” using a 1/4” notched trowel. CrownSeal has a dry time of 6 hours and will completely cure in 24 hours.

CrownCoat is a brushable, elastomeric, coating that can be used to install a flexible waterproof membrane over slightly deteriorated chimney crowns. CrownCoat boasts quick dry times and easy application.

HOW TO:

TIPS: CrownCoat has a coverage rate of 40 sq. ft. / gal (2 coats) and a dry time of 30- 60 minutes. The product will completely cure in 2-4 hours.

1. Duct tape off the upper and lower breakpoints of repair 2. Fill larger cracks and voids with a fast setting 100% silicone rubber caulk or a patching cement. 3. Use a wire brush and clean all areas of the crown. 4. Apply a thin coat of CrownCoat to the entire surface. 5. Allow to dry to a “tack” (10 - 15 min). 6. Immediately apply a second, heavier coat. 7. Remove the duct tape.
